Where to find your PayPal.Me name

  1. Log in to PayPal and open your PayPal.Me settings (search for PayPal.Me in your account).
  2. Your link looks like paypal.me/yourname. The end is your username.
  3. No PayPal.Me link yet? Create one there first.

How to create a PayPal QR Code

  1. Enter your PayPal.Me username and, if you like, an amount and currency.
  2. Style the code and test it.
  3. Download SVG or a large PNG, print, and test-scan it with a phone.

What the code opens

The code contains your PayPal.Me link. Scanning it opens a PayPal payment page addressed to you, and the payer reviews the amount and confirms. With an amount set, the page opens with that amount prefilled.

Fixed or open amount

Preset an amount when you sell one thing at one price, such as a ticket, a class or a menu item. Leave it empty for tips and donations, where people choose. For several prices, make one code per price and label each clearly.

Keep payments safe

Only display the code where you can watch it, and print your PayPal.Me name next to it as text so payers can verify it. Replacing a real code with a fake one is a known scam, described in QR code safety and scams.

Printing and testing

Test the printed code with your own phone, signed in and signed out, and confirm the payment page shows your name and the right amount before you hand it to customers. The print size guide covers size and placement. Other options: Venmo and Cash App codes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I preset an amount?

Yes. Fill in the optional amount (and currency) and the payment page opens with that amount prefilled. Leave it empty for tips or donations.

Do I need a PayPal.Me link?

Yes. The code points to your PayPal.Me page, so create your PayPal.Me username in your PayPal account first.

Is this an official PayPal code?

No. QRVane is independent and not affiliated with PayPal. The result is a standard QR code that contains your public PayPal link.
